Overbrook School for the Blind’s new aquatic center dedication opening ceremony was on May 1st . The new $11 million, 25,000 square-foot Aquatic Center will offer typical swimming activities, therapeutic uses and recreational classes for students, children, alumni members, families and the men and women of their adult Overbrook Friedlander Program.

Key features of the Aquatic Center include:
- a lap pool with accessibility for wheelchair users;
- a therapeutic pool with zero depth entry;
- an area with a water feature;
- an accessible playground;
- ease of entry;


Ground was broken for the aquatic center on September of 2007.
